TEN
This kid just keeps growing. I mean I get it, it's the whole point but why oh why can't they stay little forever?! It's so cliche but it goes by so fast. We are officially in the double digits and before we know it this little fella is going to be the big 1.
My little brave Abe, you have no fear. You are all boy and keep me on my toes at all times. You are always climbing and pulling yourself up on something you really shouldn't and I swear you would happily nose dive right off of the couch or bed without even blinking. I wouldn't have you any other way. Every month is my new favorite month with you. You just keep growing and learning & it's all just pretty much amazing.
I have always, always made a big deal about not touching ANYTHING in a Doctor's office. No, toys, magazines, tissues, absolutely nothing. I took Abel to his 9 month check up and what did I do?! Touched a toy. I didn't even let Abel touch it. I claim temporary insanity. So of course I got sick. This is the first time I have been sick since becoming a mother and oh boy it is not fun being sick while having to care for a baby. Luckily it only lasted 3 days but of course Abel caught it. It is rough watching your little one not feeling well and not being able to take it away. He ran a fever for a couple of days and has been snotty for 2 weeks now. Swimming in snot over here friends. I think we are finally on the tail end of it though... hoping. Praying. I got lots of snuggle while he was sick though and I definitely soaked that up.
- You are becoming really good at balancing. I have a feeling that you will be walking for your first birthday
- You do this cute little squinting eyes thing that makes me crack up every time you do it.
- You love saying "no, no" and getting into absolutely everything you shouldn't. You are my fearless little boy.
- You love being outside! Sitting in the grass & hanging out in the sun is a favorite.
- You prefer to feed yourself now! You are a huge fan of whole grain bread & watermelon. You are definitely my child.
- You sing, you chat, you shriek, you make any & all noise. You carefully watch us when we are talking so you can mimic what we are saying. When I have you sitting in my lap you will try your hardest to twist around so you can watch mama read instead of looking at the photos.
- Ever since you got sick you are way more of a cuddler now & I.love.it!!!
- You think it is absolutely hilarious to shake your head no anytime we say it.
- You hardly play with your toys at all right now you are more interested in finding things to pull yourself up on.
- You love the computer! You want to touch the keys so badly but the one time I let you, you ended up ripping off a key & daddy was non to happy with us. Whoops.
- You love, LOVE, your daddy. You are so excited when he comes home from work. It overfills my heart with joy to see you to spend time together.
Weight: A little over 20 pounds
Loves: Hanging upside down! I think you would spend the entire day upside down if we would let you.
Sleeping: about 9-10 hours a night, usually waking up once to nurse and a good two hour morning nap and usually an hour nap in the afternoon.
Wearing: Size 3 in diapers & 6-9-9 month clothing.
